...actually you can’t. They’ve already taken over and they’re not going anywhere. Not even an election can fix it. You can’t fight them forever. Sooner or later after #2 is born you’re going to hear those dreaded words and it’s off to the trade in lot for your V8 Charger scat pack.
“Honey, we need something with more space.”

But you can fit two kids in a Charger.

I’d rather minivan over that thing.

I thought I did a rental car review on the chevy travesty, apparently I did not. Review to follow! Hint: I didn’t hate it.

Ugh, my dad just bought one of these to take road trips in ... except he decided to lease it ... to take road trips in.

The new Traverse looks outstanding though...

Grand Cherokee for us. It’s a comfy cruiser. To be fair, my wife actually doesn’t care at all what I have, as long as it’s reasonable (not a budget buster, have a rear seat). If I traded the Taco tomorrow for a GT350, she probably would raise an eyebrow, but be fine with it. She isn’t a sedan or wagon fan, though.

Looks like a fake Suburban if we’re honest.

You need more than #2 to outgrow a sedan. When I finally have kids, I can say car seats fit in the back of an S-Class just as well as any SUV.

Exactly! First thing I thought was, “The Tahoe better look extremely good or else it’s all Traverse and Suburban sales from here.”

“Honey we need something with more space.”
“I think we could both use a little space...”
“What was that, dear?”
“Nothing, nothing...”

You have a Challenger and need more space for kids...buy a Charger. Duh. The problem is most people buying Crossovers either had a Minivan, and wanted AWD, or had a old SUV, and wanted something that rides better, and feels safer. Or people that had a sedan and wanted to taller, because that feels safer.
Let’s face it, for some one who doesn’t Car about having fun behind the wheel of a vehicle Crossovers just make sense.

Lol bless your hearts, treating parenthood as if it’s inevitable.

This needs all of the stars. When I bought my Miata at the age of 29, lots of people said “A 2 seater? You’ll have to sell that as soon as you start having kids!” I couldn’t stop laughing the first time I heard that one.

Yep... Got the same type of comments with my Camaro and my bike: “enjoy it while you can!” Sooo.... Until I’m literally too old to get a leg over? OK!

Then why is there a handle that shows running kids? Riddle me that.

I think it’s sad that more people don’t realize that they have a choice. I’ve got friends who have always known that they wanted to be parents someday, and that’s great for them. But I’ve also got friends who got married and had children just because “that’s what you’re supposed to do.” Some people really do think that it’s inevitable.
